As the 2024 Presidential Election approaches, Bergen County residents have multiple options to cast their votes. If you missed the voter registration deadline, you will need to wait for future elections, but for those already registered, here are the key details about early voting and Election Day.
Early Voting: October 26 – November 3, 2024
For those looking to avoid the Election Day crowds, early voting is a great option. In Bergen County, early voting will be available from Saturday, October 26, 2024, to Sunday, November 3, 2024. Early voting sites are open from 10 AM to 8 PM, Monday through Saturday, and 10 AM to 6 PM on Sundays.
During early voting, you can vote at any designated early voting location in the county, regardless of your assigned polling place. Some key early voting locations include:
Jack Alter Community Center in Fort Lee
Garfield Nutrition Center and Senior Citizen Building in Garfield
County Administration Building in Hackensack
Bergen Community College in Paramus
River Vale Community Center in River Vale
Richard Rodda Center in Teaneck
Tice Senior Center in Woodcliff Lake
Wood-Ridge Senior Citizen Center - Meeting Activity Room in Wood-Ridge
Wyckoff Public Library in Wyckoff
This flexibility makes early voting convenient for those with busy schedules.
Election Day: November 5, 2024
On Election Day, Tuesday, November 5, 2024, polls will be open from 6 AM to 8 PM. Unlike early voting, you must vote at your designated local polling place on Election Day. You can find your polling place listed on your sample ballot or use the New Jersey Polling Place Search Tool.
Vote-by-Mail Option
f you prefer to vote by mail, you can apply for a mail-in ballot through the Bergen County Clerk's office. The application must be received by October 29, 2024, if you want your ballot mailed to you, or by 3 PM on November 4, 2024, if you plan to apply in person.
Make Your Vote Count
Voting in the 2024 election is an important way to make your voice heard, whether you choose to vote early, by mail, or on Election Day. If you’re already registered, make sure you plan ahead to ensure your vote is counted!
