Happy Pride Month!
June is National Pride Month and there are lots of celebrations throughout Bergen County. For the first time, the town of Rutherford will be hosting a festival to foster LGBTQ+ inclusivity, visibility, and advocacy. Here is a list of what’s happening this month across the county to celebrate Pride.
June 1st 6pm Maywood Pride Flag Raising at Borough Hall, 15 Park Ave
June 1st 6pm River Edge Pride Flag Raising at Veterans Memorial Park, Continental Avenue
June 1st 3:30pm Tenafly Pride Flag Raising at Huyler Park
June 2nd 6pm Fair Lawn Pride Flag Raising at the town borough center 8-01 Fair Lawn Ave.
June 4th 10am-12pm Garfield Pride 2nd Annual Celebration at 20th Century Field, 75 Elizabeth St.
June 4th 12pm-3pm Glen Rock Pride 6th Annual Pride in the Park at Memorial Park. (12pm Flag Raising, 1pm-3pm Pride in the Park.)
June 4th 6pm-8pm Ramsey LGBTQ Pride 4th Annual Ceremony and celebration at Ramsey High School
June 4th 12pm-4pm Rutherford Pride celebration at Lincoln Park: Live Performances, Food Trucks, Beer Garden, Kids Zone
June 11th 1pm-2pm Ridgewood Pride Event at Memorial Park at Van Neste Square in the center of town. (After-event at The Table at Latona's, 26 East Ridgewood Avenue.)
June 11th 1:30pm Tenafly Pride, Pride Parade starts at George Street, Ceremony at Huyler Park
June 12th 1pm-4pm Leonia Pride Celebration at Wood Park: speakers, entertainment, biergarten, and more
June 12th 4pm-6pm Mahwah Pride Coalition Celebration at Commodore Perry Field
June 13th 5pm-7pm Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Pride Flag Raising at the Gazebo Flagpole, 230 East Ridgewood Ave, Paramus
June 26th 12:30-4:30pm Fair Lawn Pride Block Party at the Municipal building on Parmelee Ave.
