Summer is just around the corner and that means camp time for many kids! This year summer camps will play a bigger role than ever in enriching kids’ lives. This past year has been tough on everyone, but especially for kids who had to adjust to remote learning and reduced participation in activities. Major events from birthday gatherings to holiday celebrations have also been missed or altered during this uneasy time. Luckily, camps are ready to deliver fun activities, bolster friendships and provide a much-needed break from screens and couch potato-ing.
Last year, both day and overnight camps were able to run successfully with the proper health and safety rules. This year will be the same. The YMCA Camp experience is all about making great friends, great memories, and having lots of fun! Daily activities include swim lessons, music, drama, outdoor team sports, and more. A typical day at this camp will offer a wide range of activities that encourage learning and creativity to meet the needs of every child while incorporating weekly themes. Each day, campers will participate in Instructional and Free Swim, exercise through Sports and Games, share new experiences in elective activities, and of course, laugh and have a lot of fun with their camp friends.
